On most Wednesday evenings throughout the year, a CIMC or visiting teacher offers a Dharma talk. Registration is not required; this is a drop-in program. We invite attendees to offer financial support for our visiting teachers through the practice of dana (generosity). All are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
Please see below which dates will be hybrid (in person and online) and which will be online-only. If you arrive early, please preserve the silence until the teacher arrives.

- Greg Scharf, “Opening to Dukkha & the Arising of Faith”, Wednesday, December 4, 6:30 – 8:45 PM (ET). This program will be hybrid (you can attend in person or online).
Greg Scharf began meditating in 1992 and has been teaching residential meditation retreats since 2007, including the annual 3 month retreat at the Insight Meditation Society where he is a core teacher. In his teaching Greg emphasizes the understanding that meditation is fundamentally an exploration of nature and natural processes. He also stresses the critical importance of bringing the qualities of kindness, compassion, and a sense of humor to practice. Currently living in the high country of northern Arizona, Greg’s love of nature and the outdoors deeply informs both his practice and teaching.

You are welcome to attend just the sit, just the talk, or both. Please note that the doors to the meditation hall will be closed at 6:40 for the Evening Sit and at 7:40 for the Dharma talk.
