ANNOUNCEMENTS

MEN’S RETREAT

Join CHAS DiCAPUA at CIMC on Sunday, September 11 for our annual Men’s Retreat: Investigation, Transformation, Compassion (in person). This retreat invites people across the gender spectrum who identify as men to spend a day together practicing, sharing wisdom, and offering mutual support. We will use meditation, contemplative inquiry, and the teaching of the Dharma to strengthen compassion, sharpen investigation, and build community.

BELONGING TO THE EARTH

How do we face the enormity of the climate crisis with clarity, courage, and a loving heart? Contemplative practice has a central role to play. Join JESSICA MOREY for a seven-week exploration of how we can apply the Buddha’s 2,500-year-old teachings to our most pressing collective challenges: Belonging to The Earth: Wise Action Towards a Life-Sustaining Society (online). Monday evenings starting September 12.

TUESDAYS AT CIMC

Deepen your practice in community. Join MADELINE KLYNE at CIMC on Tuesdays, September 13, 20 and 27 for Mid-Day Meditation Practice and Dharma Discussion (11:30am to 1:00pm) or Dharma Tea (3:00-4:30pm). See our program page for more information about this program. Please arrive on time as the doors will close ten minutes into the program.

A Welcoming Community

The Cambridge Insight Meditation Center is dedicated to creating a space that welcomes all people regardless of cultural and religious background, race, socio-economic class, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, education, and physical ability. Financial support for our programs is available to all.

As Guiding Teachers, we are committed to offering the essence of the Buddha's message of liberation and it is our intention to apply these teachings to every aspect of daily life. We recognize that for many people, everyday life means being subject to social injustice on a regular basis. As a community and institution, we are committed to the freedom—both inner and outer—of all beings. Hopefully, CIMC and the Buddha's teachings can contribute in a small way to the necessary changes that will facilitate social justice.

May we all cultivate wisdom and compassion and recognize the interdependence of all beings everywhere.
