Description
A Kalyana Mitta Group is a small peer-led group that meets regularly outside of the Center, usually in the home of a group member or online. Comprised of meditators who want to practice Insight Meditation together, these groups of spiritual friends offer precious support along the path of practice.
CIMC supports and encourages the creation of these interactive social practice groups, though they must ultimately be self-forming and self-governing. Many local KM Groups have formed over the years, often comprised of friends or acquaintances that have met each other during programs at CIMC.
Join us in-person or online for a panel discussion with CIMC’s Sangha Life Committee and other community members who have experience with KM groups. They will share their personal experiences and offer some insights into the process of starting or finding a group. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and to connect with others who are also interested. All are welcome.
