Description
We gather each year to mourn and release those we have loved deeply and have lost. We remember family members and friends as well as fellow practitioners at CIMC, whether recently lost or those further in the past, incompletely mourned. You are also welcome to mourn traumatic events and losses in the world.
The group that gathers is open-hearted and friendly, bonded together by the opportunity to honor the ebb and flow of this life in the context of contemplative practice.
The evening consists of a short period of chanting, a brief introduction and talk, and a time for each of us to light a candle in remembrance of those we are mourning. Depending on how many are gathered, you may have the option to speak for a few minutes about the gifts you have received through your connection with those who have had a significant place in your heart. After all candles are lit, we chant some more and then blow out our candles together.
No registration is necessary. All are warmly welcome. We will begin on time, so please join us online a little early.
