This program will be held in person at our Center in Cambridge. Please bring a vegetarian lunch or plan to go out during the lunch break.
Forgiveness is one of the deepest expressions of spiritual life. It enables us to be released from the sorrows of the past and make peace with ourselves, others, and the world.
We can make the choice to cultivate forgiveness, whether we "feel like it" or not. It is the act of not throwing someone out of our hearts. Forgiveness is a way to see, understand, and let go of the pain, anger, guilt, and resentment that we carry from harm that was done to us, or by us.
Forgiveness cannot change our past, but it can change the present and the future. In our day together, we will explore what it means to forgive ourselves, to forgive others, to ask others to forgive us, and to forgive difficult conditions that are present in our personal and collective lives. This radical work honors the heart's greatest dignity and offers a way to move on.
This workshop is appropriate for both new and experienced meditators of all ages and all levels of experience. It will include teachings, guided sitting meditations, time for questions, and group discussions. All are warmly welcome.
Full and partial scholarships are available. Please submit your requests to office@cambridgeinsight.org at least 72 hours prior to the start of the program.
