The foundation of the spiritual practice is faith, a deep confidence and trust in nature as well as in our own capacity to realize liberation within our own hearts. We aren’t asked to believe what we haven’t experienced for ourselves; we are only asked to observe and trust our own experiences. Beginning with an initial leap of faith, this trust deepens as it is nourished and verified.
Self-doubt and a lack of confidence can easily haunt one’s steps on the path and in this life unless they are investigated carefully and understood. If not understood, they have a great power to undermine our lives, cloud our judgment, and limit or paralyze our ability to act. A lack of confidence is a cause of emotional turbulence. We need to learn how to explore doubt with wisdom.
What is the place of trust, in our lives and in the practice? What is the place of doubt in our lives and in the practice? Over the course of our time together, these questions will be explored through talks, discussions, and the practices of sitting and walking.
This program is appropriate for both new and experienced meditators. Everyone is welcome.
This program will not be recorded. Full and partial scholarships are available up to 72 hours before the start of the program.
