There’s a saying in the dharma “the whole of the path rests upon the head of the pin of intention”. And as simple, clarifying, and direct as this may sound, in today’s world we find ourselves awash in a vast sea of diverse meditation instructions, ideas, interpretations, and approaches to dharma practice.
However, for most of those who feel called toward the dharma, whether early or far along in our path, we know that the essence of living wisdom must be simple, clear, and responsive to life. In this daylong retreat we will pare the practice of meditation down to its heart: clear intention, and developing a gentle allegiance to this intimate life in the present moment.
Full and partial scholarships are available. Please submit your requests to office@cambridgeinsight.org at least 72 hours prior to the start of the program.
NOTE: At check-in, participants will be asked to volunteer for a short period of mindful service during the retreat—a “yogi job.” Yogi jobs enable the smooth running of the retreat and offer an opportunity to practice alongside other retreat participants.
