A Welcoming Community

The Cambridge Insight Meditation Center is dedicated to creating a space that welcomes all people regardless of cultural and religious background, race, socio-economic class, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, education, and physical ability. Financial support for our programs is available to all.

As Guiding Teachers, we are committed to offering the essence of the Buddha's message of liberation and it is our intention to apply these teachings to every aspect of daily life. We recognize that for many people, everyday life means being subject to social injustice on a regular basis. As a community and institution, we are committed to the freedom—both inner and outer—of all beings. Hopefully, CIMC and the Buddha's teachings can contribute in a small way to the necessary changes that will facilitate social justice.

May we all cultivate wisdom and compassion and recognize the interdependence of all beings everywhere.

Volunteer Service

Larry RosenbergCIMC Founder and Guiding Teacher

When we freely offer our help in the running of CIMC, in addition to nourishing the precious quality of generosity, we are helping to create a beautiful environment that in its own way is part of the sangha. Our generosity supports a community of like-minded friends, and brings about awareness and the liberating wisdom and compassion that flow from clear seeing.

Legacy Giving

Barry Jacobson and Gail Martin

We have included CIMC in our legacy planning because we believe that the best thing we can do with our resources when we’re gone is to ensure that the organizations we care about, and the ones that have brought greatest value to our lives, continue to thrive. Our practices—strengthened and sustained in our daily lives through our engagement with CIMC—have greatly enhanced both of our lives. By making a legacy gift to CIMC we hope to help others to enjoy the same benefits in the future.

Cancellation Policy

We are sorry but in the event of a cancellation, CIMC cannot provide credit to be applied toward future courses. A full refund will be provided for cancellations made 72 hours before the start time of a practice group, retreat or workshop. Cancellations made with fewer than 72 hours' notice to CIMC are not eligible for a refund.
