Marisela Gomez is a mindfulness practitioner ordained as a Dharma Teacher in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh’s Order of Interbeing, a public health scholar activist, and a physician. Of Afro-Latina ancestry, she lives in Baltimore involved in social justice activism and community building and research. She is the author of “Race, Class, Power, and Organizing in East Baltimore: Rebuilding Abandoned Communities in America”. She blogs at Huff Post and mariselabgomez.com on the intersection of wisdom justice and mindfulness.
No registration is necessary. You are welcome to attend just the sit, just the talk, or both. Please note that the doors to the meditation hall will be closed at 6:35 pm for the Evening Sit and at 7:35 pm for the Dharma talk.
