Dedicating time to mindfulness practice supports deepening and widening awareness in every moment of our lives. This nourishing and reflective evening will welcome you to fully embody awareness. In the guided meditation a strong emphasis will be placed on noticing the simple experiences of embodiment, like adjusting the posture and seeing the environment around you. The dharma talk will provide context and offer inspiration for bringing fuller attention to the body both in daily life and when sitting.

Éowyn Ahlstrom brings decades of practical experience to serving as a teacher and practitioner in the healing arts. Through seamless integration of mindfulness, meditation, movement, contemplation and community connection, she offers clear, engaging programs suitable for individuals and groups at all levels of experience. At the core of her own practice and work is embodying awareness and compassion and sharing these dharma qualities with others. Éowyn has been authorized by the Insight Meditation Society guiding teachers as a retreat dharma teacher, primarily trained in this tradition by Kamala Masters, Bhikkhu Analayo, and Gregory Scharf. She holds certifications as a teacher of MBSR, CCT and Yoga and received her master’s degree from the American College of Education, specializing in health and wellness education. Éowyn also authored of a volume of poems titled Mindscapes: Practice Poems, published with the help of a generous benefactor.

No registration is necessary. You are welcome to attend just the sit, just the talk, or both. Please note that the doors to the meditation hall will be closed at 6:35 pm for the Evening Sit and at 7:35 pm for the Dharma talk.
