How do we keep our hearts clear, tender, and balanced in times of rapid change? What tools does the Dharma offer to support collective liberation?
As we mark the beginning of a new year—and the next chapter in CIMC’s 40-year journey—all are warmly invited to a special online benefit in support of CIMC’s mission as a daily life Dharma center. Together, we’ll explore how to meet these questions in our own lives and in our communities.
Dharma teacher and author Oren Jay Sofer will guide an evening of reflection on how contemplative practice can help us heal our hearts and respond wisely to the challenges of our times. As Oren writes, “We find our way through the chaos not by frantically reacting, but by reestablishing our center in the midst of it. Here, in the still, quiet space of the heart, we uncover the space to honor what's true. Then something fresh and unexpected can emerge—an authentic, wise response to life.”
Through the cultivation of the path, we discover that awakening is possible—even amidst upheaval—and that we can nurture strength in ourselves, our communities, and our world.
Since 1985, the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center has served as a welcoming refuge and a daily life Dharma teaching center for all who seek peace and wise action through the liberating practice of Insight Meditation (vipassana). We gather to celebrate and strengthen the CIMC community—and to commit ourselves anew to the shared path of practice and collective liberation.
This benefit event is made possible through the generosity of Oren Jay Sofer. All proceeds will go directly to support CIMC.
