This benefit event will be hosted both in-person and online (hybrid). This is the registration page to join Joseph Goldstein and Guiding Teachers in person at our Center in Cambridge. (Register here if you prefer to attend online).
When Joseph Goldstein entered the Peace Corps in Thailand in 1965, his interest in Buddhist meditation was sparked. Curiosity and dedication led him on to India and Burma, where he practiced and studied for 7 years before returning the US to begin a lifetime dedicated to teaching Buddhist meditation. In 1975, he co-founded the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts, and has continued teaching there and worldwide since.
Joseph’s generous presence, sense of humor, and many stories translate the most challenging concepts into very practical guidance. His first-hand experience with asking and answering questions provides practitioners of all levels with a wealth and depth of accessible and inspiring wisdom. What doors can open when your questions and curiosity about meditation practice are shared with a renowned teacher? How will your path of practice benefit from the miles Joseph has traveled?
We are honored to host Joseph at a benefit event for CIMC on November 3rd, 2024: Question and Response with Joseph: An Afternoon with Joseph Goldstein
CIMC guiding teachers Narayan Helen Liebenson and Matthew Hepburn will introduce and moderate the afternoon event. Our time with Joseph will include conversation, questions and answers, and a guided meditation. Following the program, you are invited to a reception at CIMC hosted by CIMC Guiding Teachers Narayan Helen Liebenson and Matthew Hepburn.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center teachers and ongoing programs. CIMC is deeply grateful to Joseph for his generous contribution of time and teaching to make this event possible, and to all who attend this CIMC Benefit Workshop.
CIMC does not offer scholarships for its benefit programs.
