Ways to Support CIMC

CIMC relies on your generous donations, membership contributions and legacy gifts to create a welcoming refuge for all, continue a 2,600 lineage of Dharma teaching and offer a wide array of timely and responsive programs.

By helping to nurture the contemplative life amid the complexities of daily life, your contributions make a difference every day—for our community and for our world.

Contributions to CIMC are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Some of the ways you can make a difference by supporting CIMC include:

Donations

Unrestricted gifts throughout the year and to our fall Annual Appeal are among the most important ways to sustain and amplify CIMC’s mission. These gifts support scholarships, teachers and programs that are only possible because of your generous donations. Give here. We also gladly accept gifts by check, stock transfer and donor advised fund. If you have questions about making a donation to CIMC, please contact Development Director Rebecca Thibault at rebecca@cambridgeinsight.org or (617) 441-9038.

Membership

Membership offers the opportunity to deepen your individual practice and support our growing community of Insight Meditation practitioners. Benefits of membership include discounts on programs, daily access to the Center and our Annual Member and Volunteer Appreciation Day. Learn more about membership and become a member today.

Legacy Giving

Bequests and other legacy gifts (such as life insurance, retirement plans, and appreciated stock) can help ensure the future of CIMC for generations to come and build on the 2,600 year lineage of Dharma teaching. Please contact Development Director Rebecca Thibault at rebecca@cambridgeinsight.org or (617) 441-9038 to let us know if you are naming CIMC in your estate plans or to learn more about legacy giving.

Scholarship Fund

CIMC is committed to making Dharma teachings available to everyone regardless of financial circumstances. The Jerry Bass Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 in honor of a beloved member of our community. Combined with other donations to CIMC, contributions to this fund support scholarships for those who seek them.

Qualified Charitable Distribution

If you have a Traditional IRA and must take Required Minimum Distributions, a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) is one of the most tax-efficient ways to make a gift. Each year, you can authorize tax-free QCD distributions of up to $100,000 from a Traditional IRA directly to qualified charities such as the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center.

Teacher Dana

As a daily-life Dharma center, CIMC is committed to compensating our teachers. Individuals who wish to make an additional financial contribution directly to an individual teacher may do so here. Please note that teacher dana is not tax-deductible.
