What we offer
Our meditation programs include retreats, weekly practice groups, workshops, drop-ins, Dharma talks, and affinity groups.

Affinity Groups
Affinity Groups are community meditation groups facilitated by CIMC teachers and leaders. They offer regular opportunities for new and experienced practitioners alike to deepen their practice and find spiritual community in the company of others whose life experiences may be similar to theirs.
Please check CIMC’s Online Calendar for up-to-date schedule information.
Drop-Ins
Our drop-in programs offer many opportunities for beginners and experienced practitioners alike to learn about Insight Meditation, deepen their practice, and connect to a spiritual community. There is no registration required.
For Beginners
We offer a range of programs for those who are new to the practice of Insight Meditation (Vipassanā), including The Way of Awareness (a five-week Practice Group) and day-long Beginners’ Workshops.
Practice Groups
Practice Groups meet weekly. Each meeting includes meditation instruction, formal practice, and discussion. These groups offer support for maintaining and deepening our meditation practice and integrating mindfulness into our daily activities.

Retreats
The support of the retreat environment encourages continuity of awareness and can help develop qualities such as confidence, perseverance, mindfulness, concentration, and the unfolding of wisdom and compassion.
Wednesday Evening Dharma
On most Wednesday evenings throughout the year, a CIMC or visiting teacher offers a Dharma talk from 7:30 – 8:45pm. The talk is preceded by a meditation sit from 6:30 – 7:15pm.
Workshops
Workshops offer an opportunity to intensify every aspect of meditation practice. They generally include periods of sitting and walking meditation practice, Dharma talks, and question and answer periods. They are designed for people relatively new to Vipassana as well as people with extensive experience. Everyone is welcome.
