What we offer
Our meditation programs include retreats, weekly practice groups, workshops, drop-ins, Dharma talks, and affinity groups.

Affinity Groups
Affinity Groups are community meditation groups facilitated by CIMC teachers and leaders. They offer regular opportunities for new and experienced practitioners alike to deepen their practice and find spiritual community in the company of others whose life experiences may be similar to theirs.
Please check CIMC’s Online Calendar for up-to-date schedule information.
Drop-Ins
Our drop-in programs offer many opportunities for beginners and experienced practitioners alike to learn about Insight Meditation, deepen their practice, and connect to a spiritual community. There is no registration required.
For Beginners
We offer a range of programs for those who are new to the practice of Insight Meditation (Vipassanā), including The Way of Awareness (a five-week Practice Group) and day-long Beginners’ Workshops.
Practice Groups
Practice Groups meet weekly. Each meeting includes meditation instruction, formal practice, and discussion. These groups offer support for maintaining and deepening our meditation practice and integrating mindfulness into our daily activities.

Retreats
Retreats offer an opportunity to develop continuity of awareness for one or two full days, supported by a teacher and a community of other practitioners. A vegetarian lunch will be provided on-site. Practice in a retreat environment helps cultivate wisdom and compassion by manifesting noble qualities such as mindfulness, concentration, confidence, perseverance, and equanimity.
Wednesday Evening Dharma
On Wednesday evenings, a CIMC or visiting teacher offers a Dharma talk preceded by a meditation sit.
Workshops
Workshops offer an opportunity to engage deeply with various topics and aspects of meditation practice. They generally include periods of sitting and walking meditation practice, teachings, discussions, and question and response. Everyone is welcome.
