In modern life, anxiety is a common experience that can torment our heart and limit our potential for inner freedom and ease of mind. However, we can begin to investigate this habit of mind so that it becomes material for learning, healing and letting go of suffering.
In this workshop we will explore our potential for releasing anxiety through the cultivation of calm and wisdom. The approaches of samadhi (calm and steadiness) ease and buffer the heart while vipassana practices (insight) help us to see the false beliefs that cause anxiety. These beliefs can be uprooted through investigation and inquiry. With awareness, acceptance and kindness, we can learn to relax and trust in our capacity to face whatever arises. Turning towards and transforming our relationship to various anxieties, fears or worries is key to living free from these limitations.
This program is appropriate for both new and experienced meditators. Our day together will include sitting meditation, walking meditation, talks, and discussion. Everyone is welcome.
