|How is one to live? Whether we know it or not, there is an attempt to answer this question with our mind, speech and actions each moment of every day. Buddhadharma provides us with teachings and methods to help meet this challenge in an intelligent and practical way. Awareness with an interest in learning from our experience is central to this endeavor. In addition to formal meditation practice, the Buddha’s teaching encourages us to develop and apply wisdom, a skill that can be learned, to everything we do.
In this Practice Group, particular emphasis will be given to our relationships as a doorway to freedom. Each session will include teachings, sitting and walking meditation as well as ample opportunity for discussion. Suggested reading: Three Steps to Awakening by Larry Rosenberg, available in the CIMC library.
