Registration for the upper meditation hall with Daniel Goleman is full, however audio-only feed in the lower level hall is available.
Psychologist and science journalist Daniel Goleman shares the strongest scientific findings on how meditation matters for our lives. Drawing on his new book, Altered Traits: What Science Reveals How Meditation Changes Your Mind, Body and Brain (co-authored with neuroscientist Richard Davidson) he will detail benefits at the beginner, long-term, and “Olympic”-levels of practice. The news for insight meditators: the more you practice, the better it gets. However, more than sheer hours, we need smart practice.
Daniel will offer a book-signing after the talk. Copies of Daniel's book will be available to purchase.
Daniel Goleman, a science journalist best-known for his work on emotional intelligence, began insight practice in Bodh Gaya in the early 1970s, along with Joseph Goldstein and Sharon Salzberg. He is the author of the internationally best-selling book Emotional Intelligence.
This program is made possible through the generosity of Dan Goleman. All proceeds will benefit the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center.
