Join Madeline Klyne and others in the CIMC community for a Sunday morning mindful walk along the Charles River in Cambridge. This is a unique opportunity to re-connect with old Dharma friends and to meet new ones. We will walk mindfully, talk and listen mindfully, and enjoy the beauty of our city in summer.
Walking in small or large groups, we may feel what a delight it is to be walking together with community. We can open our ears to the sounds around us and lift our eyes to enjoy the flow of the river, the trees, the flowers, the birds and the people near us. Attentive to and aware of our senses, we can recollect the preciousness of our lives in the present moment. With mindfulness, each step can be nourishing. With our CIMC community, each step can be healing.
Practitioners, partners, children, and friends — everyone is welcome. No registration necessary.
Location: Riverbend Park (Memorial Drive, along the Charles River between Western Avenue and Gerry's Landing)
We will gather at 10:00am in the John F. Kennedy Memorial Park at the intersection of John F. Kennedy Street and Memorial Drive. After a short welcome, we will begin our walk at 10:15pm. Rain or shine!
Note: Our meeting place is a short walk from the Harvard Square T station. On Sundays, parking in Cambridge is free in metered spaces and resident-only parking restrictions are not in effect so ample parking should be available.
